Today's take ten activity is to teach the plural of words that have unusual plurals. Today we passed a field full of geese and my oldest daughter said "mommy, look!" I said yes those are geese. I then went on to explain that we say goose if there is only one and geese if there are a lot.
Teach some to your kids!
Here's what you do:
1.) Think of some words that when used in the plural form are different than normal.
2.) Tell your kids about them. Look up pictures of the word being taught. For example if you are talking about mice being the plural of mouse, show mice pictures. Visuals are great teaching tools!
3.) Play a game with the new words. Give rewards for correct answers. :)
Take ten!
